LG 3D Newsfeed

Promoting a 3D TV on conventional screens is always hard, so LG decided to create a simple utility to demonstrate this and of course FB was chosen as, you know, everyone target audience is on it.

I don't know about you but I just skip my news feed now and again on my mobile, it's simple fast and easy, why on earth I would want to seat in my front room, put a pair of 3D glasses and read the usual blurs this way?

The website is sweet but for as a 2D experience it sucks and am not convinced that it would work in 3D ever. This is the sort thing you show your friends that haven't got a 3D TV and then forgot all about it.

Samsung Project Space Planes

Brilliant use of tech and great idea that will appeal first to the geek audience but can easily expand to a wider one. This should generate word of mouth easily. The product has a genuine reason to be included in the project, something that is rare these days.

But why using Tumblr? if this is to keep it real, it's a bad choice...and please make sure someone is answering Twitter and not just posting blog post updates.

Now why did the founder of Rathergood agreed to be involved is beyond me...

Amnesty: Demand Dignity

Again an old site but it shows the constrains of designing sites for European and Arabic languages. Try it yourself (they could have done more).

It's a shame that the form to enter your "voice" is so long, it kills the call to action spontaneity and I don't see who is going to SMS to the site?

There is also no reason why the site still show a beta message (data left from testing?) since the campaign is finished. I know charity haven't got a lot of money but if you are the agency doing the job, you should finished it and try to get you money back with PR.

The nice idea behind all this is that people could comment on the "voices", connect to people or be connected via people. The reality of it, for this sort of campaign, no one does, as seen by the 0 comments and 0 connection on most post.

The mission section, which is hard to find, has various level of content but is actually the best part of the site with some great voice blogs. I would have pushed the visibility of this content.

But the campaign worked, with over 50,000 voices raise, I am sure they could have had more if they have fixed some navigation and design issues. Sadly doesn't looks like the site has a "exit strategy" (cringe).

anorangeamerica.com

Fantastic integration of Twitter feeds and great insight of what people are doing and thinking...has it grab twitter feeds some adds have appeared (election on the Figaro.fr) but what's more interesting is that it's sponsored by Tropicana. At least it's not sponsored by Bodyform but as much as I like the application I would have preferred if it was born out from a group of developer in their spare time... http://www.anorangeamerica.com

thelostring.com

This is a McDonald ARG campaign, as long as this not finish on 'the lost onion ring' then it should be a fantastic adventure for all the teenagers that have: 1 Too much time on their hands to surf the web 2 To much time on their hands to actually search for the artifacts 3 Don't care about the Olympic games 4 Consume to much McDo.
Fantastic stuff to be honest...
Be sure to check the Wiki, the blogs and the mysterious site.
You have to praise the team for delivering an experience in 7 langagues.. http://www.thelostring.com/

takethisdance.com

Feeding content from Flickr, Google, Maxmind and Geoname inside the video in real time. For a concept that refer to Radio Kill The Radio Start their choice of song undermind the point they are trying to make; something like Revolution.com could have perhaps be more effective.
Next step is of course to make this happen during a live brodcast and Ebay already had a go.
