Andrex: Scrunch or Fold

It takes one click and no registration to participate but sadly this is just a ploy for you to get pass the homepage as your vote means shit (see what I did there?). The survey has already been done so the only thing left for you to do is visit the one page of not even funny facts about the nation toilet habits.

You can join the debate on Facebook? What does that mean? Arguing about the way we fold?

The problem here is that the campaign tries to start a debate when there isn't one and they do not follow through (Am on a roll here - and that's a joke inside a joke).

Now if we had origami made out of folded paper or work of art made out of scrunch one; I could see a small possibility for the campaign to be funny and relevant to the brand. Sadly we are left with a turd (Ok I will stop it now) of a campaign that will be talked about in the wrong way.

I think the agency responsible for it might have their account flush down the toilet (sorry I could not resist).

Uniqlo: Lucky Cube

I always love Uniqlo's campaigns but this one is disappointing. There is no interaction, no interesting technique, no real craftsmanship. This is a pure game of chance, with a video that repeat itself, with the same consolation prize and most annoyingly pushing people to do Facebook connect.

Yes it's cute because there is a cat, a famous one too http://www.youtube.com/user/mugumogu but this is also a weakness of the creative team in my eyes. This would have been perfect as a FB competition for the fan but not as a launch piece for the SF store.

Pedigree Adoption Drive

The virtual walk idea isn't new but the content land itself really well to the execution, even if this one is slightly disappointing and it does look like some videos stuck on top of a webpage.

The 4 websites are a good selection but you can not actually interact with them without coming out of the walk. Still your donation progress will keep you going.

My Farm

Forget Farmville this is the real deal, spend £30 and be part of an active farm. Sponsorship taken to the next level and transparency on where you money goes. A simple and brave initiative.

Not in my Cuppa

Well designed charity site, you can't expect more really.

What's interesting is the "Take Part" section that gives people clear and simple ways to participate with the campaign, they just forgot Twittbon.

Turkey Off

Sometime simple is better and this one page site does it all by using social network as part of the voting mechanic. They don't ask you to comment, to donate, to use a widget or to email all your friend. They just ask you to vote by using Twitter, Facebook or Linkedin (an odd choice but understandable as they can retrieve the number of contact for the voting). Perhaps they could have added the number of view/subscriber on youTube as part of the equation. This should remind everyone that sometime the simple is better. http://www.turkeyoff.com/

Bless the BBC, helping the animals this Christmas has never been so cute. A great viral for everyone and a nice site for the family (The "Birds love fat balls" wallpaper is a favourite). http://www.bbc.co.uk/breathingplaces/doonething/christmas/

toshiba.eu/whatnext/

It's cute, it's lovely, it's well coded, it takes inspiration from "Lost Wind" and "Okami" but it's only a portal and you will never go back to it, give it to me as a screensaver, as a wallpaper, as a Google Skin as a Blog Skin and I would have accepted the Toshiba logo without even thinking about it. http://www.toshiba.eu/whatnext/

talkingpets.org

A great idea that could go so so wrong if you start uploading picture of people and witting unPC dialog, so I suppose it will become a hit one way or another even if the idea is no new or some functionality could have been improve (selecting the mouth area instead of putting a pre-rendered one, showing how many character are left, making sure accessories are available to uploaded photo), but make sure you check out www.oddcast.com too as their technology has improved a lot. http://www.talkingpets.org/
