The point is that this is not selling the product but the country. There is only a few normal people in there, most of them are actually good looking, I wonder why? Could this be that most of the videos uploaded have been made by a crew going around and founding good looking people?
The stories are over produce to be honest but I supposed they are trying to sell a dream.

I'm Roberto, a member of the team that promoted The Italian Experience around various European countries.
Most of the video you see comes from the activation tour - the project has just taken off - and that's the reason why the videos seem to be the result of a professional casting + shooting.
However, reality has been our first goal and the whole project has been build on the idea that “there's nothing more genuine and transparent than normal people in their all-day-so-natural offline behaviour”.
That's why there has been no professional casting to find the protagonist of the videos on theitalianexperience.com. Each person you see has been caught on the street and invited to “ask something” or to “reply to someone”, without any sort of selection by our staff.
We do believe and afford on 100% genuine UGC.
