CNN Ecosphere

Is is art? Is it form before content? the installation is really what makes it awesome and I encourage you to view the making off. I am a bit worry that a normal person might have difficulty navigating the world but as an event driven initiative it does drive the points home and yes it is art.

CNN Ireport

Not a campaign as such but a lot of good UGC ideas in there. From personal profile, to comments to sharing a lot of effort as be made to make the navigation easy even if I think a simple next and previous would help a lot when viewing articles!

TV news from the day you were born

Sometime the simple ideas are the best...this is going to be huge...shame youTube or a big brand did not think of it first.

A few dates are missing if you are over 30 years old, still fantastic collection. Now let's have the user upload clips from the past too...

BBC: The Virtual Revolution

Well done the BBC for this great documentary about 20 years of the web. What's interesting here is the way they are trying to bring a new way to navigate what is no more than a big DVD. http://www.bbc.co.uk/virtualrevolution/3dexplorer_start.shtml

Snikers: More Nuts Challenge

These are web episodes that will be reused on many platform / channel as possible. Do we care? no. No blog, no feedback with the readers, no interaction at all...what a wasted oportunity http://www.themirroronline.co.uk/snickersmorenuts/

wonderwall.com

A fantastic effort to compile the most boring content around, come on people this is really scrapping the bottom of the barrel now but interesting takes on the horizontal navigation for this portal proved one thing, it doesn't work. http://www.wonderwall.com

thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/desktopkeeley/

Desktop characters are not new, but it's interesting that The Sun has decided to create one and looking at their readership I would say that they are bang into their target audience. So what's the problem? perhaps that this will probably not go down well with the HR department of certain corporate firms (if they haven't already blocked the port for the feeds) or that most Sun reader are probably part of the working force that does not use a PC as part of their daily tasks. Nevertheless it's a nice Adobe Air application. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/desktopkeeley/
