Stupid and interactive in a good old fashion way.

Friend Recovery

Genius stuff and really real, great use of tech and SMS message to request a PIN for your mate to login and be part of the gang again.

Fabriques-moi un conte

The public can vote for the story, the actors and the location in these remakes of famous children stories. It's a shame that this competition hasn't got his own site as the radio-Canada site is in a way.

It's also a shame that you have to register to see the possible choices but great content and always nice to see some behind the scene footage. Perhaps they could have push a bit more the voting and let people decide some possible scenario too.

Coca-cola music

Good idea on paper, in reality this is really boring to watch. The female host hasn't got a clue about what she is doing, the band seems bore, only the bearded one is interesting but he keep being stopped all the time in case he said something that could be un-PC.

The interactive wall is so so monitored it hurt, a tweet of Mark Ronson just appeared to be picked! Most of the question asked are really shit: Tell us where you are, shall the team have a break? This is not interaction, this is controlled execution to demonstrate how much people love the event.

The small interlude, Yoga session for example, would not even have made in Big Brother and taking poorly picture of the Tweeter wall to try and get some follower back is really sad.

Most of the highlights are less than 60s long due to the fact that it's really really hard for them to found some actual good content.

Of course the fan of bland music will love it, the general press will love it, the agency will love it, coca-cola will love it too am sure. The rest of the world? we won't care...

The only thing they should do for this not to have been a massive waste of money? Put the song on itune and give all the profit to Japan.

Gap 1969

Really cool to start with and slowly stating to realized that it is really not practical to navigate. I click on myStream and got a blank page, no instruction, nothing. Lot of external links to confuse even more; if you are going to follow the new trend and start doing curration, aggregation and so on just make it clear because if not you are going to end up with a big portal that meant nothing.

Xbox Kylie

Shall we blame Facebook for changing their design every 10 minutes or the people that build the page for not checking the fact that I can not scroll down and therefore I can interact with the promotion.

So here is the video:

VW Ski Team

Am a sucker for live stuff, so even if really there is nothing major to see, I still think this is awesome when the camera actually work.

Breast Fest

As much as I think the musical number is a bit over the top and it looks like it didn't go all OK GO with the dance, the creative is spot on. Should have added a massive share functionality and recreate this in a Facebook tab.

http://www.breastfestfilmfest.com/splashpage.shtml

The offline initiative is maybe too targeted at a small audience but it does try to do something different for sure.

CNN Ireport

Not a campaign as such but a lot of good UGC ideas in there. From personal profile, to comments to sharing a lot of effort as be made to make the navigation easy even if I think a simple next and previous would help a lot when viewing articles!

RedBull: Street Art View

A lot of site have collected the best of Goggle street view but Redbull just nailed it with a simple site that does what it said on the tin and does it well. I would have throw in a few tag to be able to classified thing better but I am being picky. I actually like the fact that there is no comments or voting.

Behind the mask

I don't see how this is going to work, minimum specs is 320x240?
An animated storyboard is not enough am afraid for people to really understand, I can even found the music for the song, there is no blog telling you how the project is going, nothing to let you know when this is going to close, no preview or gallery, it's a mess...

Not a campaign as such but a fun way to play with your webcam to get immerse in the content.

Schick Epic Hydratation

It's a YouTube take over but it redirect you to a Facebook page that redirect you to the official site. They probably Twitted about it too...that's a long chain to get to the final message...someone is missing the point of using multiple platform for your message.

Babybel Red Nose Day

Nice to see Facebook connect and Twitter making it in these mass campaign. Nothing to declare it, the campaign is simple for everyone to do and the offline offering is directing people to the site. Everyone is a winner!

Tiger: Knowthenotknow

Another one of these campaigns that let you know trendy things. Is there any left considering that this angle as been use over and over again?

I saw the ads on the underground with the QR code and the mobile number to encourage people downloading the app. That's right on the underground, where there is no signal...well to the media buying agency for this one.

Considering that the app is really only a pub database, I found it pointless.

You can win tickets to gigs on Facebook, that's better, even if pointless considering that we all know that this sort of things never really lift sale of a brand and who ever coded the page forgot to check it and I can not click on the Submit button.

It's one of these campaigns were the clients and agency are having a ball setting up small gigs and exhibition but really it won't really change the perception of the brand.

Sainsbury Red Nose Day

A simple idea that makes Sainsbury more human, trouble is that the trailer show you all the tasks ahead therefore you know that everything is pre-recorder. That's a shame as it would have feel more real if it was actually done on a weekly basic in the store for real...so you hope that people will take pictures, upload and talk about it and generate a bit more buzz.

Edding Wall of Fame

I saw this executed a few years ago but as the tech move on things get really interesting. No only you see everything happening in real time but you can also comment on the fly, draw with fellow artist and of course share at your heart content.

It's good to see a campaign that is self-moderated to an extend, I have to admit I am not sure if I will remember the brand name but it did give me the desire to doodle more. I really hope they are going to use some of the content for the advertising.

I hope you like my dog...

Hula Hoops Talent Class

This must have kept the agency busy for months, kaching!

So what have we got here:

Home page: Back to the 80's with the animations, I like your style

UGC: upload your talent? overdone but am sure all the sados that can make it to the auditions might give it a go. you have to register first, what a shame...looking a fool for 10k? is it worth it? If only the winner was going straight to the final now that would have been a proper competition / collaboration not just a branding exercise.

Vote: See above, good that you can search by username but registering to vote? Hey Mr Hoops are you sure you are actually going to do something with all this data, are you going to spam everyone after?. Make sure you email noreply@hulahoops.com just to be on the safe side hey!

Get inspired: Shit download, thank you

Claim free talent lesson: ha the big offline offering!  Why can you not have done this with postcode and google map? shall I start to go on about how small the box is and that you should shoot your art director? shall I start that, really, the consumer has to do all the work and that its basically a con from the stage school to try and get you to enroll your child and pay £20 for each 25mn to 90mn session after that.

Facebook BT

More than 9000 people voted on what type of dress Jane should wear, are they all BT employees? Come on people haven't you got something better to do?

This is the part where are should praise BT for trying to do something a bit different but I can't be bother as it seems that the share and Submit button are broken, well in Chrome anyway.

Wrangler SSII collection

Another cool looking film that I am sure the girls will like. Brilliantly shoot and technically interesting to make sure everything is in sync. I actually missed the fact that you see what the character is wearing in the corners, why can you not click on these I really don't know.

Once the film is finish, nothing...come on Wranglers, don't you want to sell some products? don't you want to try and grab a few people details, get some fans at least? Or are you too cool for all that social shit?

Want something even cooler to watch and even more up his own arse? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvOnRdMi4OM
