Everybody Draw Mohammed Day

Am surprised this is still up or that Facebook hasn't got a law suit on their hands. Freedom of expression? the power of the net? it's an interesting proposition for sure and considering that everyone that has uploaded a picture is tagged and even more impressive stand. It's this blasphemous? I will leave this up to you.

Nike: Write The Future

Not only this is an amazing piece of work but the social / marketing / viral clins d'oeil are spot on, I hope this is not lost on the audience (it sadly probably will).

Could this clip actually been seen as Nike sticking 2 fingers at their audience, showing them how they are manipulated, showing how everything is controlled? am I just really cynical?

Dr Pepper: Status Takeover

Simple idea bang on the brand message, using simple Facebook API functionality, genius...but will the people be up for it?

Super Sexy CPR

Sex sell and the latest viral for Fortnight Lingerie is doing well amongst the male internet users. Will this appeal to the women that are actually buying the items? I have my reservation.

If the next viral was Super Sexy Heimlick Maneuver I would have praise the campaign but it isn't so I would recommend instead to get the St John Ambulance app for all your first aid needs.

Butter Finger Defense League

They don't take seriously and their deliberate use of Z list celebrities make the campaign works.

I could start going on, how the design is pretty basic, the videos pretty shits but somehow it doesn't really matter, it's all part of the campaign in my eyes. All the based are covered, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, off-line activities and partnerships with TV and radio stations.

Other good ideas are the barinsurance and the viral video.

Youtube 5 years

Great pick of the best stories that made youtube what it is today, isn't the web wonderful? I really like the 2007 videos of the YouTube office and the way the captioning option helped the California School for the Deaf.

Happy Birthday indeed...

T-Mobile Night In

Orange I think has a better offer with their Orange Wednesday.

A bit more structure to the general UGC campaign as the users have to follow a script, good choice of upload options (upload / cam or youtbe link) but considering that 2 auditions are already gone they really have a low numbers of entries at the moment -18, and that's with a TV campaign too.

A really good skinning of youTube which prove more and more that the channel interface is badly design and no one scroll below the fold.

Shape the hive

A well executed idea that use UGC for the purpose of creating something beautiful.

They went the extra mile and you can use a video to create your hive, this make for interesting experience.

They should not show the most popular pods, it's much better to let people discover by themselves.

Jillz loves football

Fun campaign where users are encourage to vote to reverse the world cup rule of banning players to take their shirt off.

The site is terrible of course and they could have improve it with full screen option, wallpapers for PC and mobile, much better design and more rushes from the shoot.

IS Parade

It's a reap of the Mii parade but hey still fun...and I really like the fact you can also use keyword and not just Twitter ID.

Make sure you check the site for the phone too as this also use your Twitter account to generate a great creative experience.

Pringles Oversharers

Once you pop you can stop, and the same goes with status updates on Twitter and Facebook for some people. So this campaign is a bit of fresh air to have fun at your friends.

They really are throwing everything in to make this viral: customisable video, T-shirts and Facebook function and that's my problem. They should have spend more time on the design, scratch the video (it has been done to death), do more with Facebook than a wall message that look likes an ad and push the Twitter feeds to the forefront. I would I liked to be able to browse the tweets by subject for examples (job, relationship, friend, tv..)

10 Downing Tweets

A bit of API work here to pull in the Tweets and generate some stats. Add this a bit of design work, a pool and some live voting and you got a great site that will help Twentysix getting some good PR. Sometime a bit of work on the side can be a good thing for an agency...

Does the digital active voters represent the real demography? I guess we will only know on the night...

Voterpower

Take http://www.theyworkforyou.com/ API and NEF information, had a bit of time and get The Gardian involved and you get simple but effective site regarding the UK political landscape.

The Johnny Cash Project

What a great way for fan to say a farewell to a rock legend. Create a frame and be part of the official video. The tools and interface could do with a bit more work to improve the user experience.

The ability to replay how someone has done a frame is a great way for people to learn how to improve their own contribution and the ability to select the type of frames that are displayed make you want to watch the video over and over.
